GDPR

Dandelions Counselling does not store any personal data and neither does it process any personal data. All student data is stored by the awarding body, the CPCAB. The only data stored by Dandelions Counselling of a student, client, supervisee, or partner agency is a mobile number identified with a first name and first surname initial. Students will be asked how they would like their data to be stored or processed on Tuesday 1 May 2018.

Registration self-assessment
Under the Data Protection Act individuals and organisations that process personal information need to register with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), unless they are exempt.

By going through the following questions you will be able to decide if you – as an individual or on behalf of your business or organisation – need to register with the ICO.

Dandelions Counselling completed the online self-assessment and this was the result:

'You are under no requirement to register

You are not processing personal data and you therefore do not have to register with the ICO.

However, it is important that your organisation adheres to the principles of the Data Protection Act (DPA) and understands best practice for managing information. To help ensure you are complying with the DPA, we have produced a range of training materials including practical toolkits, training videos and more.'

Dandelions Counselling has been happy to register with ICO in any case, following best practice.
